• The monster-of-the-day was youma Papillon. Her name is the French word for “butterfly”. In Sailor Venus’ flashback, Sailor V is seen fighting an unnamed youma.
• The English version skipped this episode.
• Queen Metalia said that when the sun was covered in sunspots, she would finally be freed. Metalia is originally from the sun.
• This was Kiyoshi Matsumoto’s last episode.
• Alan would be mentioned again in episode 65.
